To help make our grounds more accessible to the children all-year round, we’d now like to add an outdoor classroom to provide a working base for activities in the Woodland Walk. In addition to all the current opportunities, a fully-enclosed classroom would also enable classes to spend a whole day based in the grounds.

We estimate that this project will cost in the region of £30,000 and have already begun applying for grants but will also need to raise a large part of the funds ourselves. For Phase 1, we need approximately £17,000 for a wooden classroom and base, with a renewable energy pack, rainwater collection, electricity and a toilet to be added as funding is available.
Grow £1 Challenge - February 2019
A huge thank you to all who joined in with our Grow £1 fundraising, the children have managed to grow their £1s to raise an amazing £6,000!
We're delighted that the IGas Community Fund and the Nineveh Trust have each awarded us very much appreciated £3000 grants towards the project, Kings Worthy Parish Council have awarded us a grant for £1500 and thank you also to the King Charles pub quiz team who donated the proceeds from their quiz night.
We've some offers of matched funding and some Gift Aid reclaims to process and when all of this is added to the grants and fundraising so far, we've raised just over £21,000! It's not too late if you'd like to make a donation or can persuade your place of work, local businesses or anyone else to donate!
If you'd like to make a donation, we'd be most grateful. Cheques can be made payable to Kings Worthy School PTFA. If you're a taxpayer, the PTFA can reclaim 25p from HMRC through Gift Aid for every pound you donate - a Gift Aid form can be downloaded here or the school office can supply a printed copy.
