Bird Box cam

We've a bird box cam and feeder station with a live video link and we're taking part in the Schools Bird Box Project.  Click on the logo above or head to http://www.seenature.org.uk/schools/kings-worthy-primary-school/  to have a look inside our bird box and see what you can spot!

For more pictures, have a look in the Grounds photo gallery which has photos and video clips of our visitors since we set up the box in February 2017.

We're currently watching inside our box but can swap the camera to the feeder station and watch the birds there outside the nesting season.   Thank you to the PTFA for funding both our box and our hosting subscription to the See Nature site which also has lots of resources and information to help us find out more.

Other schools in the south of England are also live streaming and you can take a look at any of the bird / bee cams on the See Nature site http://www.seenature.org.uk/school-zone/school-streams/ (green dot shows which are live).

17.5.21 Unfortunately our chicks haven't survived this year - we're not exactly sure why but several eggs didn't hatch and the ones that did, only survived a few days.  They hatched early in May and the cold, wet weather could have affected their food supply as each chick needs around 100 caterpillars per day.  We're hoping for another nest next year.
