School Council 2022-23

Each class has elected one member to represent them at the School Council 2022-2023. Children who would like to be considered for this role make a short presentation to their class. Each child then votes for the candidate of their choice and elected Councillors share the views of their class at School Council meetings.

They also represent the children in wider decision-making within the school. In past years, this has included interviewing prospective headteachers, taking part in health and safety inspections and presenting ideas to Governing Body committees. Our school council meet every half-term to discuss the views of all year groups and classes.

Our school councillors for 2022 – 2023 are listed below:

Class 2VT Maisie
Class 2S Penny
Class 3D Max
Class 3C Kaysan
Class 4S Charlotte
Class 4B Annabelle
Class 5R Nadia
Class 5A Stella
Class 6C Naomi
Class 6S Noah
Last year, our school council visited the Winchester Great Hall for the unveiling of the Licoricia of Winchester statue. Although we didn't meet the Prince of Wales, we did manage to meet the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire.

On Thursday 3rd March 2022, our school council finally got the opportunity to meet HRH Prince Charles at the opening of The Arc. He asked us about school rivalries, our council and school sport!
