Safer Internet Day

2021's theme is 'An Internet We Trust' so we learnt to be Internet detectives and check things out before believing them. Here are a few of our activities:
Year R and 1 watched Detective Digiduck and learnt to check out whether what they see online is true.
Year 1 also completed a sorting activity looking at words that meant true/ untrue and created facts, lies, and opinions about different objects or animals.
Year 2 made Internet Safety posters
Year 3 learnt how to check out websites then made some fantastic spoof ones!
Year 4 and 5 made collaborative 'keeping safe online' Jamboards:
Year 6 took part in 2Simple and the UK Safer Internet Centre's attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the greatest number of Internet safety pledges. 6K also performed their Safer Internet Day assembly to Y4-6 across the Internet which enabled everyone to take part (and to practise their muting/unmuting skills!), whether they were at home or in school.
We need to use our Safer Internet skills every day, not just one day a year, so here's a reminder of the SMART rules:
