6K Outdoor Learning Day
6K spent their first outdoor learning day in our Woodland Walk unthwarted by the rain! Our Anderson Shelter is a fantastic resource for our WW2 topic and our new outdoor classroom provided a dry base for learning about air raids before spending time in the shelter. 'Lend a hand on the land' provided the ideal opportunity to compost windfalls, weed the vegetable beds and plant potatoes. We built mini air raid shelters out of natural materials, tested their protection by dropping objects from height, and filled the minibeast hotels before feeding the ducks and pond dipping - an excellent day!
