We are a group of parents, carers, teachers and other interested parties who work together to organise and run social events to help promote positive relationships between parents, teachers and children in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. We plan, organise and stage events throughout the school year, some for adults, some for families, and some just for children – all are good fun!
Regular events include our summer and Christmas fairs, children's discos and 'Smarties' secondhand school uniform and cake sales, supplemented by events such as Happy's Circus, Family Photos, Coffee Mornings, our Fun Run and Family Bingo nights.
Money raised helps buy those items, both essential and luxury, which the school budget is unable to fund.
Proceeds in the past have gone towards: playground markings and games, Worthy 10 books, Y6 visit to the Panto, library books, picnic tables and benches, House badges and trophies, IT upgrade (including hall projector and screen, and laptops), lighting for the Christmas plays, a visit from a touring theatre group, author visits in Book Week, Easter eggs for every child, Christmas presents for every child, bulbs and plants, toys for KS1, the Anderson Shelter, bird cam and more!
PTFA meetings are open to all and are advertised by ParentMail and on the website calendar. We welcome suggestions for different events, especially if they are accompanied by offers of help! Click in the menu for photos from past events.
