Kings Worthy Primary School

Outdoor Classroom

To help make our grounds more accessible to the children all-year round, we’ve now added an outdoor classroom to provide a working base for activities in the Woodland Walk.  In addition to all the current opportunities, the fully-enclosed classroom will also enable classes to spend a whole day based in the grounds regardless of the weather.

We're delighted that the IGas Community Fund and the Nineveh Trust have each awarded us very much appreciated £3000 grants towards the project, Kings Worthy Parish Council have awarded us a grant for £1500 and thank you also to the King Charles pub quiz team who donated the proceeds from their quiz night.  The children raised over £6000 through the 2019 Grow £1 challenge and this added to the grants has enabled the construction of the classroom - Phase 1 complete!

During Phase 2, we've added rainwater collection, electricity, wifi, seating and blinds.

For Phase 3, we'd like to add a renewable energy pack and a toilet as funding is available.  It's not too late if you'd like to make a donation or can persuade your place of work, local businesses or anyone else to donate!

Donations:

If you'd like to make a donation, we'd be most grateful.  Cheques can be made payable to Kings Worthy School PTFA. If you're a taxpayer, the PTFA can reclaim 25p from HMRC through Gift Aid for every pound you donate - a Gift Aid form can be downloaded here or the school office can supply a printed copy.
